The Alumax Bath Enclosures Research and Development facility provides for extensive
testing capabilities. Prototypes are assembled, developed and tested right here for
function, esthitics and durability. Each design is thoroughly tested before being
released for production. Each design that is implimented into production has to meet
strict specifications and guidelines. |

We've recently upgraded our electronic oscelating pivot and hinge tester to a new
custom designed pneumatic cylinder tester . This cylinder is specifically designed
to accurately portray the day-to-day usage of pivot and hinge shower doors. In addition to
providing more accurate representation, this method can now be enhanced to target tests of
individual components such as pivot pins, hinge assemblies and various latch designs. |

The Research and Development team does extensive wet tests of each product before it is
released for production. During production, random tests are done to ensure that the product
is being built to design specifications. The Design Engineers also use customer feedback
to research any possible problems that are caused by design, production and/or installation.
